Support the Warren Land Trust and Kent Land Trust Collaboration to Create a Major Trail Network in the Lake Waramaug Watershed!
Your participation during this giving event from April 21 at 7am to April 22 at 7pm is key in developing a comprehensive trail system for you to enjoy on the Waramaug Watershed Preserves:
Warren Land Trust’s new Mountain Lake Preserve and Cunningham Nature Preserve and Kent Land Trust’s East Kent Hamlet Nature Preserve.
Together with the Wyantenock State Forest these preserves protect nearly 1200 acres of open land.
With your support a trail network can be created on this environmentally significant refuge, ranging from a scenic lakeside stroll to more ambitious routes spanning the border of the two towns. Imagine enjoying pristine scenery, dramatic rock formations, peaceful woodlands, sweeping meadows, long views, open fields alive with birds and native flora!
The challenge is to raise at least $20,000. Grant funding has been secured for immediate use! To unlock the grant - for every $1 that you donate, the project will receive $4 more!
Please give generously, so that this special trail system can become a reality! Your support is crucial for bringing this important project across the finish line.
Thank you very much for your generosity!

Bonus funds provided by the Connecticut Community Foundation and Give Local sponsors will give your participation even greater reach!
Any excess funds received will be added to WLT's general fund according to our mission to maintain and update WLT preserves.
