Join us for an early autumn hike around the fields and beautiful upland forests on the Tanner Farm Preserve, one of the newest additions to the Warren Land Trust. Don’t miss this great opportunity to get an early look at the trail that WLT is developing for public access next year.
Warren Historical Society curator, Heather Forstmann will share the fascinating history of Warren’s agricultural heritage and the Tanner Farm, which is also a key environmental component in the local watershed. Sucker Brook, the largest feeder of Lake Waramaug, courses through the property. Maintaining the health of its riparian buffer is crucial to sustaining the integrity of our beloved lake and water resources.
Be sure to bring your water bottle and appropriate hiking shoes.
