The Coords–Graham Brush trailhead is located on Angevine Road at the beginning of the historic City Hill Road which the town abandoned in 1905. The trail has recently been expanded to include two scenic loops: the Beaver Pond Loop and the Coords Loop. The main trail then leads to the GrahamBrush Connector Trail, which winds through adjacent Wyantenock State Forest to the Graham Brush Preserve, eventually linking with the Connecticut Blue-Blazed Mattatuck Trail.
From the Coords–Graham Brush connection, the northern section of the Mattatuck Trail leads into Mohawk State Forest in Cornwall—one of Connecticut’s most scenic woodland areas, offering sweeping views of western Connecticut and the hills of New York. Heading south, the Mattatuck Trail passes through woodlands and wetlands, ending at a trailhead on Valley Road in Warren.
